American Literature
Focusing mainly on American literature of the Twentieth Century, the course endeavors to continue the emphasis on process writing by examining significant and representative texts, such as Huckleberry Finn, Of Mice and Men, The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye, Fences, and To Kill a Mockingbird. This course, by examining the important themes and movements found in the literature, is designed to expose the student to texts that best embody the American spirit.
